FEILDING NEWS
The death has occurred of a wellknown resident of the Waituna district in the person of Mrs H. P. Clare, who had lived there for 47 years. She was born at Nelson and was Miss Anna Benseman before her marriage took place at Waituna 47 years ago. Her husband predeceased her in 1930. For seven years Mrs Clare had been confined to her bed and her passing ended years of patient suffering. Five daughters and a son are loft to mourn their loss— Mesdames W. Simpson (Hunterville), J. Whitehead, J. Strickland (Waituna), N Short (Beaconsfield), C. Palmer (Turakina), and Mr Bruce Clare, of Waituna. The services 'were conducted by Rev. K. A. Robinson, of the Halcombe Methodist Church, tho pallbearers from the house being Messrs F. Thomas, K. Clare, W. Simpson, J. Mason, N. Shannon and N. Guylee, and at the c«nieterv Messrs W. Simpson, N. Short. C. Palmer, J. Whitehead, J. Strickland, and B. Clare.
