MELODY DANCES

There have been cxcollent attendances nt tho week-end Melody dances held in the P.D.C. Jade ballroom and conducted by Winifred R. Hubbard, many membora of tho Military and Air Force being present. The Monte Carlo lucky winners wore: First, Miss Smith and Gunner Kiirth ; second. Mrs R. Hammond and Mr F, Boardman (Pahiatua). A delightful extra was rendered by the following : Piano, Mr Smith; bass, R. Ofsoski; trumpet, F. Fleetwood (both of Greytown); drums, B. Burt. The duties of M.C. were carried out by Mr J. W. Beck, while a professional orchestra provided excellent modern and old-time danco music, led by Mr C. Anderson. The next Melody dances will bo hold in the P.D.C. Jade ballroom on Friday and Saturday evenings. Patrons arc advised to attond both those functions as a very good time is assured for all, including excellent' suppers and music.
