ATLANTIC MENACE
(Rec. 11.0 a.m.) OTTAWA, March 24. Vice-Admiral Percy Nelles, Chief of the Naval Staff, predicted that German submarines will operate in the Gulf of St, Lawrence this summer and place a supply ship there. Admiral Nelles said that Canadian aircraft could eliminate the daring U-boats, but it would be hard to keep them out entirely with such a large sheet of water.
