BULLS.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) Mr A. Coleman. S.M.. presided over a sitting of the court in Bulls on Tuesday, when Joseph Capstick. of Ohakca (Mr 11. Mackay) claimed from L. Yallenrler. of Rongotca (Mr O. K. Howe) an oak wardrobe, which plaintiff contended defendant had wrongfully removed and retained. In July last an auction sale of furniture was held at Mr L. Poupard's property at Glen Oroua. where plaintiff purchased an oak wardrobe for £9, paying the money to the auctioneer, who gave plaintiff a receipt. When plaintiff wont to collect the furniture the next day the wardrobe had disappeared. having been removed by defendant, who considered he was the purchaser. In evidence, R. Morton, auctioneer, stated that he knocked down the furniture to defendant, but. that a clerk entered plaintiff's name as the purchaser in error. Plaintiff and his witnesses denied that there was any misunderstanding or any doubt that he was the purchaser. After counsel had submitted local authorities, His Worship reserved decision.
