(Press Assn.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 2. In a .statement to-day, Mr Parry said New Zealand’s war effort is claiming much of tlio time of the official physical welfare ■ officers in the training of loaders among the Home Guard for the general instruction of members of the various units. The export services of the department’s officers would be needed continuously in connection with the war effort. They would, however, be able to spare sonic time and energy, in co-operation with, local and sports bodies, for the organising of satisfactory programmes of summer sport ana recreation for the general community.
