TRADE IN WOOL.
(Rec. 10.5 a.in.) NEW YORK. Aug. 1 The New York Journal of Commerce says that imports of apparel wool continue to be heavy, with Australian predominating. During the week ended July 0 fine wools received at the ports of Boston, New York and Philade phia totalled 3,849,000 clean pounds, of which 3,398,0001 b were Australian wools.
The United States lias purchased 250,000,000 greasy pounds of Australia’s last season clip. Stocks of apparel wool Hold in tlie United States on June 29 were 207,754,0001 b, not including (30,000,00011) of greasy Australian wool held by the Defence Supplies Commission.
