ST. PAUL’S GUILD.

The St. Paul's Church Ladies' Guild met at the home of Mrs J. Cunning hame, Heretaunga Street, Mrs W. 13. Cameron presiding over a good attendance. It was agreed to carry out renovations and add comforts to the parsonage. Several members signified their willingness to assist with the street appeal for the Merchant Navy. Two new members were welcomed. Reports of visiting during the month wore received. It was agreed to take charge of the patriotic 6hop for three days earlv in Septetnber. A report was presented of parcels sent to soldiers connected with the church. An, enjoy, able talk was git'en by Miss .Miller on district nursing in New Zealand. Musical items by Mesdames H. Cunninghame, Pearce and Miller added to the pleasure, and a bring and buy stall augmented the guild funds. The next meeting will he held at the home of Mrs J. Allen, T?ussell Street, when a peggy square quilt will be made for refugees.
