NATIONAL DANCING
The Scotch Thistle Society recently held the first of a series of three national danring competitions which was well supported. The following were the prize-winners:— Highland fling, novice, R. Woodill 2. J. Burroil and B. Henderson, equal, 3; Highland reel under 12, '/,. Bronghton I. F. Woodroof e 2 R. McDowall 3; sailor's hornpipe, under 12. 7.. Bronghton 1. F. Vioodroofe and P Millar, equal, 2: eeantriubhas, under 12, R. McDowall 1, F. Woodroofe 2, / Bronghton 3: Irish jig. under 14, B. Thomson 1. P. Miliar 2, F. Bees 3; sword dance, under 14. B. Thomson 1. L. Hepworth 2. F. Bees 3; reel o' 1 ulloch under 16. B. Thomson 1. L llcpworth 2 S. Henderson 3. Mrs G. Dunn, of Wellington, was the judge. _____
