CASE FROM MARTON

Pleas of not guilty were entered by Donald Thompson, aged -IS, baker's van driver, when he was charged in the Supreme Court, to-day, with indecent assault, at Marton on June 7, and, alternatively, with common assault, this second count arising from the same circumstances. Tho Chief Justice (lit. Hon. Sir Michael Myers) presided and a jury of 12 was empanelled, the foreman being Mr E. Gregory. Mr H. R. Cooper conducted the case for the Crown and Mr A. M. Onglcy (with him . Mr K. A. Williams, of Marton) appeared for accused. The Court was cleared for the hearing of evidence, which was proceeded with.
