TOKORANGI

(From Our Own Correspondent.) The monthly meeting of the Tokorangi Women’s Institute was held at the wharepuni Foupalate. Airs Barnett presiding. Apologies for absence wore received from Airs A. K. Frior and AI iss F. MacLeod. After routine business had been transacted. Airs Love gave a detailed account of the federation meeting recently held in Fcilding. Airs Barnett welcomed Alis-s AlcLennan, of Ilaieombe, who gave an interesting demons! ration on the making of wood-pulp flowers. Four different kinds of flowers were made and llie hunches were kindly donated by Aliss McLennan to the bring and buy stall Airs M. Morrison also made a donation. Competitions resulted: Sponge, Airs Barnett 1. Airs Love 2: bloom. Airs Barnett (Louisiana) 1. Mrs Rosser (chrysanthemum) 2, Air Love (pansy) 5 In the open competition Mrs Barnett and Airs Royal tied, the former winning the toss of the coin. Mrs A. E. Frior has returned from Wellington, where she spent her annual holiday.
