June IV, 1941, at 10.30 a.m.- The Sale includes the following- complete flocks: — On account of C. 11. WILLIAMS. Esq., Gisborne. —Coventry Southdown FlockNo. 71 S.S.S.. N.Z.F.B. Founded 1907. The Coventry Flock is one of the oldest Southdown flocks in existence in New Zealand and has been under the personal supervision of the owner since its foundation. This flock is a first-class flock of true to type Southdown sheep and it is only through continued ill-health the owner has decided to disperse the flock. On account of ESTATE OF LATE A. .T. FAULKNER, Cisborne. Wairakaia Southdown Flock No. 296 S.S.S., N.Z.F.B. —This flock was founded in 1919 and the best of blood lines have been introduced from leading studs from time to time by th(> purchase of ewes and high class stud rams. The owners have decided to dispose of this flock owing to present day difficulty in obtaining labour. On account of J. G. JARRETT, Esq.. Fei’ding. Ahnadale Southdown Stud. Flock No. 1317, S.S.S.. N.Z.F.B.—This flock was founded in 1935, and since then purchases of ewes have been made at the Pariroa Dispersal Sale and the Killeymoon Dispersal Sale. N.Z.F.B. —This flock was founded in 1925 and the ewe flock has since been added to by the purchase of ewes from R. At. Perry and high class rams have been used since the foundation of the stud. Tauroa Rycland Stud. Flock No. 14. R.S.S., N.Z.F.B. —This flock was founded in 1907 by the importation of ten owes and iwo rams from England. The stud is a small but select one and the ewes have ail been carefully mated. The offering comprises:—lll 1-shear Southdown ewes. 74 2-shcar Southdown ewes. 63 3-shear Southdown ewes, 139 mixed aged Southdown ewes. 50 Southdown ewe hoggets, 9 stud Southdown rams, 31 mixed aged Rycland ewes: total, 482. The above flocks have all been passed by the Breed Societies’ Inspectors and are being brought to p’eilding where they will bo sold under cover in the FEILDING A. and P. pavilion for the convenience of the buyers.
