PAHIATUA.

There was a large attendance at the annual “peace" meeting of the Pahiatua branch oT (he Women's Christian Temperance Union, at which Mrs 11. Paterson presided. Items were contributed by Mrs Bovetts and Miss Richards and an address was given by Rev. Air Uocmbes, his subject being "Peace.’’ Mrs J. D. Wilson thanked the speaker. The following players will represent the Athletic A and P> teams in the seven-a-side third grade Rugby football tournament. —A team: Boyeiis. Lethbridge. Watts, Beales. O’Donnell* Humphrey, Paget: emergence, Glassoy. B team: Burgess, Hawkins, Wilton, Hopcroft, Schroder, .Morris, Schroder; emergencies. Devonshire, Bennetts.
