BOROUGH ELECTIONS
In regard to the forthcoming elections in Feiiding it can he said that a vote of confidence in the administration of Mr T. L. Seddon has been given in returning him unopposed to the Mayoralty. With the exception of Air V. E. Smith, who lias r.ctired after a period of 20 years’ service, all the councillors have been re-nominated in addition to three new candidates who are seeking office at the request of their nominees. ’I liesc gentlemen are Messrs- L. Boukl, T. F. Fitzgerald (who polloci over 500 votes in contesting the Alayoraltv throe years ago) and L. A)’. Penhe.v.- By ad vertisemeiit, these candidates have signified their qualifications to tho voters and each will receive support. Cr H. J. Dewe lias been elected to represent Feiiding on the Foxton Harbour Board vice Air W. F>. Curthew (retired), but an election is necessary I to elect a representative of the towii on the Power Board and the sitting | member Cr P. C. Guv has as his op- I ponent Cr P. B. Desmond.
