DEATH AT 102
MRS A. HUBBARD
(Press Assn.) NY AIAIATE, Alav 13. Airs Auu Hubbard (.grandmother ot Rev. J. Hubbard, of Palmerston North), who was 102 years old on April 30, died yesterday alter one ol the few illnesses of her long life. Born in 1838 in l'oulshain, England. Mrs Hubbard came to New Zealand with her husband, Mr George Hubbard. and six children, landing in surlboats at Timaru in 1874. After a lew years they removed to Waimate and bought a Vann on the outskirts oi the town. Mrs Hubbard was widowed m 1919, and still lived in her old borne, leaving in 1936 (alter 60 years) to reside with her daughter. Survivors ol the family of twelve arc Alesdamc E. George, Y. Phillips and C'. Kennedy (Waimate), H. Nixon and H. Brail' (Christchurch) and Alessrs I. Hubhard (Timaru), and W.. Hubbard (Albu ry).
