EXTRACTS FROM "STANDARD." MAY 6. 1911. A branch of the Bank of New Zealand had been established at Rongotca under the managership of Mr E. A. Campbell. The .Mexican revolt had once again attained alarming proportions. It was reported that 2000 insurgents were to inarch on Mexico City. Many well-known persons were being killed by the rebel forces. The 'Australian Labour Council had decided that industrial disputes in future would be settled by the Arbitration Court. A strike was described as barbarous, inhuman and primitive. The Moroccan revolt , was dying out through (he large military movements. Some of the tribes were rallying round the Sultan.
