MARKET REPORT

The Dominion Auctioneering Co , Ltd., I'aliner.-ton North, report receiving a medium entry of pigs and a capacity yarding of poultry at their Thursday sale. A total clearance of pigs was effected at the undermentioned rates. Poultry wa.s in demand and o splendid sale resulted in increased prices for all lines. The usual supply of fruit and produce came forward, prices being on a par with lastweek's rates. We quote: Pigs: Best weaners, 10s 6d to 12s 6d each ; *>mall, 6s to 9s; slips, 10s to 13s; stores, 13s to 22s 6d ; light porkers, 26s 6d to 38s. Poultry : Forward pullets, 8s 9d to 9s; medium, 6s to 7s 9d ; heavy hens, 4s to 4s 6d; medium, 2s 9d to 3s 6d ; light hens, 2s to 2s 3d ; breeding cockerels, to 8s; heavy cockerels, 4s to ss; medium, 3s to 3s 9d; ducks, 2s Id to 2s 9d ; small turkey gobblers, 5s 3d to 6s 3d.
