A party was given at the resilience of Mrs Reeves, of Shamrock Street, in honour of Miss Beverley Hooker, who is leaving Palmerston Xorth shortly to join the nursing staff of the Wellington Hospital. The time was spent in dancing and competitions, the music being provided by Mr D. Keen. Songs were sung by Leading-Aircrafts-man lan Medwin, K.N.Z.A.F. Alter supper a presentation was made to Miss Booker by -Miss G. Reeves, of a pearl necklace, on behalf of those present and all joined in wishing Miss Uooker every success. Other parties in her honour were given by Miss McSwecny, of South Street, and ' Miss Shirley Tate. A morning tea partywas also given by Misses M. and D. Gillespie, of Shamrock Street.
