PRISONERS IN POLAND

(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May 1

Answering a question in the House of Commons regarding the transfer of British officers who are prisoners of war in Germany to camps in Poland because the Germans had received unfavourable reports on a camp in Canada for German prisoners, the Financial Secretary to the War Office said information had been received that the German Government now had favourable reports on the camp in Canada which was the object of its allegation, and had ordered certain improvements to he carried out in the two camps in Poland to which the British officers bad been transferred. The British Government did not regard the present position as satisfactory, he said, and would continue to press for the return of the British officers to tht original camps.
