LIST OF CANDIDATES. THREE IN FOR MAYORALTY. Nominations called by the City Council in connection with the local body elections to be held on May 17 closed at noon to-day. For the" office of Mayor three nominations have beeii received, and twelve for nine seats on the council. Six are offering their services as members of the Hospital Board, four being required. For the Manawatu-Oroua Power Board, on which the city has three representatives, there are five nominations. For the Foxton Harbour Board and the Wellington Harbour Board the required number of nominations only has been received, and there will consequently be no election in respect ot these.
