TANKS IN INVASION

LONDON, April 17. Lieut.-General Sir C-’livc Liddell. Administrator-General of the Home Forces, declares there is no doubt that Germany could land her heaviest tanks on open beaches on the coasts of Britain Commenting on the possibilities of invasion, he said that Germany’s main difficulty would lie getting tanks from the beaches to the roads. “AA’e shall destroy tanks on the loaches.” he said. “AA'e do not lack equipment.”
