HOROWHENUA UNION. At a meeting of the management committee of the Ilorowhenua Rugby Union Mr J. A. Gillespie presiding, it. was reported that the deputation appointed to wait upon Mr J. W. Rimmer to ask him to reconsider his decision to resign from the treasurership had done so and in response to their representations, Mr Riinrner had agreed to the withdrawal of his resignation. Tile sum of £5 5s was voted to the St. John Ambulance Brigade ir. rocogntion of its services. The Foxton Borough Council wrote granting permission to play matches on Easton Park, providing the ground is put' in order." It was resolved that the ietter be receivedAn application from W. Winiata for reinstatement miter playing in a League match was referred to the New Zealand Rugby Union for favourable consideration. Footballs were allocated to-the district schools The patron of the- union (Mr F. S. Easton) forwarded a donation of £5 Fe. It was decided to nominate Messrs J. N. Millard and D. M. Speddmg for the office of vice-president (North and South Island respectively) of the New Zealand Union, and to recommend that Jhere be no change in the councillors. The appointment, of Mr \Y. Dowling u-s secretary was confirmed. ,
