(Press Assn.) WELLINGTON, April 29 Because of the difficulties teams would be faced with concerning travel and securing leave for players, the council of the New Zealand Football Association has decided not to proceed with the Chatham Cup matches for the present season.. It was agreed to carry on with trophy matches and that the pooling system adopted last year again operate. It was also decided to carry on with the Brown Shield (no subsidy) and the Dawson Cup matches. Thcquestion of schools’ tournaments was left in the hands of the districts concerned.
