MANAWATU CLUB. An . open day, for patriotic fund* was held by the Manawatu Ladies’ Golf Club yesterday in beautiful weather. About 50 players took part and following are the winners of the competition :• —A Grade Medal: Mrs J. Cliff. 84-9-75. A Grade Stableford' bogey: Mrs C. G. Moore, 31 points. B Grade Medal; Mrs J. P. Flood, 101 —26—75. B Grade Stableford fogey : Miss D. Ilaggitt, 30 points. 1 PALMERSTON NORTH CLUB. The Awatapu course was in excellent order and conditions were ideal for the Stableford bogey competition played yesterday. Following were the best cards handed in:—A division (handicaps 17 and under): Mrs B. Clarke (12), 29pts; Mrs R. E. Mace (10), 27; Mrs J. B. Curd (11), 27; Mrs H. W. Mullaney (8), 26: Mrs E. Simpson (14). 24; Mrs I. French (5), 23; Mrs T. K. Fraser (15], 23. B division (handicaps 18 to 27): Mrs A. Ward (22), 29pts; Mrs E. J. ; Astin (25), 27: Mrs R. Collins (27), 26; Mrs F. G. Fairey (26), 24; Mrs CJ. L. Mowlem (25), 22.
