MAGISTRATE’S COURT

Mr 11. P. Lawry, S.M., presided at a sitting of the Magistrate's Court, to-day. J. H. Gildard, of Feilding, was charged with driving a motor-vehicle on the main highway without due care and attention, and with driving without a warrant of fitness. Police evidence relating to the second charge alleged that defendant ran into a mob of sheep. Defendant was fined £2 on the first charge, and 10s on the second, with costs. Frank Spiers, who pleaded guilty by letter to a charge that he drove a motor-vehicle without a warrant of fitness, was fined 10s, with costs.
