DAIRY INDUSTRY

WARD CONFERENCE. There was an unusually large attendance at the annual ward conference, in Palmerston North yesterday, of the Dairy Board, when addresses were given by Messrs W. E. Hale (chairman of the board; and A. Linton (ward representative). Mr Linton presided. A good deal of the addresses was of a confidential nature, and Mr Hale’s speech was on the lines of his remarks at the Northland ward conference, as reported in Monday’s issue of the “Manawatu Standard.’’ BUSH DISTRICT.., A gonfercnce of the Bush district factories was hold at Woodville on Monday, when die following companies were represented: Ilamua, Ilopclands, Kiritaki, Konini, Maharahara, Mangahao, Mangatainoka, Matamau, Norse wood. North Tiraumea, Pahiatua. Papatawa. Rexdale, Riverbank, Tnmaki, Tararua, Tataramoa, United and Woodville. The meeting was addressed by Mr A. Linton, who presided, and Mr Ilale, chairman of tile Dairy Board.

Davies was elected unopposed as representative for the Pahiatua-Eketa-huna district and Mr It. Harding was re-elected for Hawke’s Bayou the board.
