£65,000 PAID TO FARMERS. (Press Assn.) CTIRISTCJIURCTI, Apr. 28 A total of £65,000 has been received in the hist few weeks by farmers in the (South Island -who have grown linen flax. The payment represents tho £5 an aero guaranteed to every farmer who undertook to grow flax and will be followed shortly by another payment aggregating 80 per cent, of tho value of that portion of tho crop which has been accepted for fibre.
