Counsel for the Ford Motor Company demanded the dismissal or transfer of the National Labour Relations Board hearing involving the company to-day on a charge that it was part of a Communist plot to gain control of a vital defence industry. A threatened strike at the parent plant of the Bethlehem Steel Corporation was averted by at least 24 hours to-day when the leaders of an alleged company union announced that balloting for the election of officers had been delayed until to-morrow.
