(From Our Own Correspondent.) BUXNYTHORI'E, March 24. The tenth annual meeting of the Women's institute was presided over by Airs A, H. Fau.kncr. Letters were read from soldiers and men on minesweepers who had received parcels from mctu tiers. The report and balance-chcet showed a' very satisfactory position. • A vote of thanks was accorded the president, who wag re-elected. The following committee wan elected: Alcsdames K. Abraham, J. Burling, H. Donald, A. Guy, C. Harris, S. Northcotl, C. Stevens, W. Wcastell, B. Williamson and Aiiss Sparrow (secretary). Competitions resulted :'Bloom, Airs Armstrong 1; cake, Mrs Harris 1, Mrs Payne 2.

A special effort in the shop run for the parcels fund resulted in £3O, 3s 6d being received during last. week. On Saturday evening a farewell dance was tendered to Air and Airs J. J. Baker, who arc leaving the district. There was a large attendance. Mr- V. A .McKcnzic, in voicing best wishes for success in their new home in Shannon to the guests of honour, asked them to accept a roll of notes as an expression of the esteem in which they arc held in Bunnythorpc. .Mill. Kobsoii, on behalf of the Tennis Club, conveved the club's good wishes. Air and Mrs Baker, he said, had been of great assistance to the club. Air Robson handed a, gift to each.' Mr W. Tomlinson, who has been an inmate of the Wellington Hospital, returned home at the week-end.
