FOOD FOR FRENCH.
MR BULLITT’S PLEA. (11.40 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Mar. 11. The former Ambassador to- France ('Mr W. C. Bullitt), addressing the AVomen’s National Press Club, said Britain should permit the United States to send food and medical supplies to Unoccupied France. “Ninety per cent, of the French want Britain to win the ivar. The only thing to turn them against Britain is starvation,” Mr Bullitt added. “It is utter folly for the British to refuse.” Mr Bullitt admitted that it would be unwise to send food to the regions occupied by Germany in France or elsewhere. Food sent to those areas would go to the German army.
