BOXING.
STRICKLAND-RICHARDS BOUT. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Jan. 7. The executive of the Boxing Association has decided to investivate. the possibility of staging a match between Maurice Strickland (New Zealand heavyweight champion) and Ron Richards (Australian middleweight champion). The matter was left in the hands of the match committee which is to report to a special meeting of the executive to be held next week. Providing the negotiations are successful the contest will tako place in the open air in Auckland at a near future date.
