Conditions were ideal for cricket on Saturday, when the Bush association’s competitions were continued. High School had first use of the wicket in their match against Pahiatua and were dismissed for 52 (Wilson 25. not out; Alontgomery, 7 for 19). Pahiatua in their first innings also made 52 (Sandman 29, not out; Wilson, 5 for 24; Paget, 4 for 28). .In their second innings, High School made 96 (Wilson 37, Boycns 17; McKay. 6 for 22). Pahiatua, at the close of play, had _ lost 1 wicket for 33 in their second innings (Sandman 23, not out). The match was declared a draw on the first innings. Mangamairc batted first in their game with Fire Brigade and were dismissed for 17 (Rice, 4 for 2: Dungan, 5 lor 15). Fire Brigade replied with 45 (Jensen 26; Welch, 3 for 13). In their second innings Alangamaire made 54 (Booth 19, Keene 14; Jensen, 5 for 12; Dungan, 5 for 26). Fire Brigade managed to win the match b,y 18 runs, scoring 44 runs in their second innings (Rice 15; Matson 5 for 4; Kendal, 2 for 6).
