BULLS PIG FAIR.
Dalgcty and Co., Lid., report on, the annual pig fair which was held at the Bulls salcyards on Monday, in conjunction with the usual fortnightly stock sale: —There was a large yanding of store pigs, which were an exceptionally well-bred let and in first-class condition. There was a large attendance of the public, who were keenly interested in the offering. The sale went with a swing from start to finish, anl we report one of the best sales held in the' district for many years, with a total clearance at prices well in advance of recent sales. Top stores made from £2 15s to £3 2s; medium, £2 sf> to £2 10s; only one pen of weanere came to hand and realised the good price of 383 6d. Several well-bred sows were also on offer and sold tinder active competition, at prices ranging from 4£ to 8 guineas. An average yarding of sheep sold under keen competition, with values fully firm 'on recent 6alcs. The fat sheep were keenly competed for by the local trade, with values firm. A good entry of cattle, comprising mainly dairy heifers, met with a good sale and wo report a total clearance at prices well up to late rates. Quotations: Breeding sows, 4i, 6, 6i, 71, 71 to Bgns; store pigs, £2 ss, £2 10s, £2 12s, £2 15s, £2 ISs. £3, £3 2s; weancr pigs, 38s 6d; fat wethers, 35s 4d; fat ewes, 25s 9d, 265, 30s 2d. 345, 355; fat hoggets, 28s: ewe hoggets, 26s 9d, 30s 6d; store ewes. 5s 6d; S.D. lambs, 16s; wether hoggets, 23s 3d; fat cow 6 and heifers, ex dairy, £4 10s, £5 12s, £5 17s 6d, £7; store cows, £4 ss. £4 10s; dairy heifers, £6 2s 6d £7 ss, £8 7s 6d, £9 ss, £lO ss, £ll 10s, £ll 17s 6d; dairy cows, £5, £8 15s, £ll ss, £l2 17s 6d.
