ITALIAN EXPLOSION.
Received August 9. 11.40 a.m. ROAIE, Aug. 8
It is officially stated that 39 persons were killed and hundreds of workmen were injured in an explosion in the shell-loading department of a powder factory at Piacenza. A Daventry statement says this is tile third such explosion in Italy in a week.
