SWEDISH POLITY.
IDEAL OF DEMOCRACY. STOCKHOLM, August 5. The Prime Minister, (Mr Hansson), in a speech said, “If Democracy has failed where the conditions were unsuitable, it does not follow that it must yield where it lias become the natural expression of the people’s as in Sweden. There’is no need for Sweden to copy foreign models. “Our internal affairs do not require a new orientation, even if. there is room for certain improvements in our democratic methods.”
