The Centennial, dinner of the New Zealand Alliance, with a concert following, is advertised, commencing at 7.30 to-night. The guests of honour will be Mr H. E. Paccy and Mr 11. Milner. The demand in the Waikato for all classes of stock remians keen, and any changes in values have been in vendors’ favour. Owing largel yto the favourable season, at the. present time' the inquiry for store cattle exceeds the supply, with the result that prices' have , shown a further advance. In the store sheep section, breeding ewes are still keenly sought, while the demand for white-face hoggets, both ewe and wether, is greater than the supply.
