Broderick was fined £2, with 11s costs; J. Callaghan and M. J. Ryan, £l, with 10s costs each; and IV. S. Anderson and T. G. Hannam £l, with 10s costs in each case. F. C. IV. Anderson, who forwarded a plea of guilty to a charge of driving without due care and attention, was fined 30s, with 11s costs. R. Clark was _ fined 10s, with 10s costs, for driving a car without a license, and £l, with 10s costs, for driving a car not carrying a warrant of fitness. For driving a;• car when not the holder of a driver’s .' license, S. G. Nyc was fined 10s, with 10s costs. A charge of failing to give way to traffic on the right was preferred against P. J. O’Donnell, who . was fined £l, with 10s costs. For driving a car not provided with a warrant of fitness, H. V. Tullet was fined 10s, with 10s costs. F. M. Clark, a soldier, of Wellington, was charged with using obscene language in King Street and with striking a young woman. On the first charge he was fined £5 and convicted and discharged on the other after evidence had .been heard. The costs were 12s.
