OLD BOYS WIN EASILY.

. FEILDING 0.8. OUTCLASSED. Palmerston North Old Boys had an easy win over Feilding Old Boys on No. 3 ground, the final score being 30 points to 8. The teams w'ere: Old Boys—Clark, Bnick, Howell, McNeile, Lang, Shand, Scott, Webber, Geoffrey, Annear, Henry, Campbell, Fell, O’Dea, George Annear, Cutler. Feilding Old Boys.—Reynolds, Harford, Swinburne, Dewe, Black, Bramwell, Jarrett, Oliver, Finlay, McLeod, Waldegrave, Nicholson, Wells, Rutherford, Bainbridge. Lang opened the score for Old Boys with a try in the corner, secured after the ball bad been sent across the field by the back-line from a serum. McNeile some minutes later scored a very similar type of try. Clark failed to convert either. When play was at the other end the ball was secured by Feilding Old Boys in a scrum and came out to Harford on the wing. He shook off several taclders and ran round to score under the posts. Finlay converted. Cutler broke through for Old Boys, and when under the posts handed the ball to George Annear who scored an easy try. Clark converted. Half-time came 60on after. Clark kicked a penalty goal for Old Boys at the start of the second half A movement in which most of the Old Boys backs handled enabled Howell to run through at the corner for a try. Clark failed with the kick, but shortly after kicked another penalty goal. The Old Boys backs broke away from a defensive position and Scott passed to McNeile, who ran half the length of the field to outstrip the opposition and score easilv. Clark converted. Feilding Old Boys scored .subsequently when Black touched down after the ball had been dribbled over the line. The kick failed. Old Boys’ final score came when Scott sent a dive pass to Lang, who cut in under the posts; he converted his own try. The game ended : Old Boys 30, Feilding Old Boys 8. Mr AY. McCormick was referee.
