COMMERCIAL TRAVELLERS’ APPEAL.

The amount raised for the Provincial Patriotic Fund by the Palmerston North commercial travellers 5 appeal has now reached the £I2OO mark. As reported earlier, last week’s activities, including the mock court and other attractions, were very successful. The campaign has still a month to run, and the barometer in the Square is being watched with interest as it stondil.y rises. A concert sponsored by Mr J. Garde Grimshaw which is shortly to be presented, is expected to swell the funds still further. Donations of £1 Is or more have been received from the following travellers : Messrs F. J. Robson, E. Gilding, J.. Murchison, C. A. Armstrong, J. S. Curd. C. A. Anderson, W. Scarr, E. J. Wills, Basil Gray and A. E. Gardiner. Some 100 donations have now come to hand, and a similar number are still expected to come.
