SHARP RISE IN TIN.--LONDON, Juno 14. Prices of metals, with last week’s quotations in parenthesos, are: Tin. —Spot, buyers, £290 5s a ton (£277); sellers, £290 10s (£277 10s): forward, buyers. £291 10s a ton (£275 ss); sellers, £292 (£275 10s). Pig-iron.—llls a ton (same). Antimony.—British, £IOO to £lO2 a ton (same): foreign, £B2 to £B6, nominal (same). Molybdenite.—47s ,to 50s a unit, nominal (same). W’olirairi. —Chinese, 50s 6d to 60s 6d a unit (same). , . • While rubber and tin prices are at extraordinary heights, wheat and wool offer painful prospects for producers selling on open markets. Britain, France, Spain and Portugal are apparently the only European countries capable of maintaining imports from overseas.
