DOG TRIALS.
The judge of the dog trials, held yesterday, Mr A. I l '. Curry (of Woodville) said the general standard of the work was quite up to the usual, while that of the dogs taking the first three placings was exceptional. Mr Curry thought the winter a more suitable time for such trials, as it gave the owners ample opportunity to concentrate on the preparation of their dogs. The results were : Pulling, driving and -arding.—R. Fortune’s Margaret Rose, 43pts., 1; R. J. McDonald’s Glen. 40Jpts., 2; F. England’s Don, 40pts, 3; 30 entries.
