MELODY DANCE CLUB.
Another enjoyable dance was held on Saturday evening in the Empire Hall by the popular Melody Dance Club, the organiser being Miss Winifred R Hubbard. As usual, the attendance was exceptionally good. The second_ heat of the Manawatu championship waltzing competitidn ii-as held, Miss Gwen Gibbs kindly acting as adjudicator. The third heat, which will be the, finals, will take place ?on Saturday evening. The competitors are: Miss Fitzsimmons. Mr Brill, Mrs Horsfall, Mr Traill.j Miss Ward, Mr Staples. Mrs Goodwin, Mr Kjar, Miss Laucrson. Mr Campbell, Miss Adein and Mr Wilkin. Valuable trophies will be presented to the winners. A nro-j fqssional orchestra rendered excellent old-time and modern dance music. An apology was received from Mr Howard, York, [ M C., for liis unavoidable ' absence. The duties of M.C., however, were efficiently carried out by Mr Bruce Webber.
