SWEDEN ALERT.
NAZI AIR VIOLATIONS.
STOCKHOLM. April 22. According to a Stockholm newspaper, German ’planes have made no fewer than 28 flights over various parts of the country, and four of them have been put out of action. The number of ’planes involved is good evidence that- it is not merely a case of a stray aeroplane losing its way. One paper suggests that they are taking photographs, and another that they are attempting to locate Sweden’s anti-aircraft guns. A watchful eye is still being kept on the activities of German residents inside Sweden, and yesterday ,i police search was made of premises belonging to the Swedish National Socialist (Na/.i) Party, and documents and newspapers were seized. Another organisation which is being watched closely is one described as a sporting and physical culture association which is thought to exist to spread tho Nazi doctrine among Swedish youth. The Government has asked Parliament to put into force tho law concerning compulsory labour service. This law is intended for use in national emergencies. The Government has also asked for two large credits —one for armament and the other for use in regulating tho price of butter.
