MUNICIPAL BAND.
The general committee of the Feildinc Municipal Band met on Monday, Mr T. Collins presiding. Donations were received with thanks from the Lytton Street School Parents Association, Feikling A. and P. Association and Messrs R. M. Watson and J. Knight. The conductor (Mr J. LFleetwood) reported that the rehearsals had been well attended, but owing to the fact that the band was short of instruments several had been borrowed from the Marten Band, these had now been returned. Regarding the shortage of instruments, the meeting resolved that Mr Fleetwood supply a report for consideration at the next meeting, It was reported by the treasurer (Mr O. H Tate) that the committee had found £l9 4s 9d towards the expenses of the band at the Dominion contest. It was decided to thank Mr D. T. Dennison, of Palmerston North, for.his services as drum-major. The treasurer stated that there was a debit balance of £77 15s 8d at present.
