MELODY DANCE CLUB.
The usual weekly dance hold by tlm Melody Dance Club in the Empire Hall on Saturday evening, and organised by Miss Winifred R. Hubbard, drew another very large erowd, testifying to the popularity of these well conducted dances. Several competition dances were included in the programme, and the patrons entered with zest into the modern and old-time numbers. A speciality tap dance was given by Alisses Fay Rees and Zona Broughton, attired in fancy costume. A very pleasing feature was a surprise visit from Air W. J. Jordan (a former M.C.), accompanied by Airs Jordan. A hearty welcome was given to both. A professional orchestra supplied excellent music, while Mr Howard A'ork carried out the duties of AI.C. in his usual efficient manner. There was also recently held a special “50—50” dance by the Melody Dance Club and this proved a successful evening. A foxtrot competition was held and the winners were Atiss Spilman and Air Hall. Aliss P. Over kindly acted as judge. Tt was announced on Saturday evening bv tbe AI.C. that the Alclodv Dance Club will be bolding tbe second annual dance in tbe Empire Hall on Alondav, April 29 (lung night).
