AOKAUTERE.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) AOKAUTERE, April 20. Aokautere euchre players were at home to playeis from Kelvin Grove for a shield match, Kelvin Grove proving \the winners by 82 games to 64. Mr W. R. Tloocroft, chairman of the. Aokautpre Tlall Committee, handed the shield to Mr D. Buchanan, who replied on helialf of the visiting players. Music for tlie dancing was supplied by Mr R. Buchanan, of Kelvin Grove, and Mr J. Woodley, who also acted as M.C. A committee meeting of the Women’s Institute was held to complete arrangements for the Paddy’s market, to be held to raisi funds for ’institute patriotic work. It was decided to hold a sponge competition. also to have produce stalls and other attractions, to be followed by dancing. The institute is doing good work in providing comforts for the troops overseas. The May competition will be: Seniors, 3 carrots; juniors, a 9in spray of autumn leaves.
