SWEDEN VIOLATED.

STRONG PROTEST TO BERLIN. Received April 23, 11.10 a.m. STOCKHOLM, April 22. Sweden lias strongly protested to Germany against aerial violations of her territory. Twenty-five Nazi ’planes Hew over Sweden yesterday. Two were forced down. Earlier reports stated: A Swedish fighter shot down in flames a German ’plane which flew over the frontier north of Gothenburg and its crew of four were interned. Two German ’planes made forced landings on Gotland Island and the crews set fire to the machines before they were arrested by the Swedish authorities. Three other German ’planes crossed the frontier from Norway. The Swedish public are becoming increasingly indignant about the flights of German aircraft. The largest newspaper in ’Western Sweden voices tile general feeling when it says that the flights are deliberate and are probably made for tho purpose of taking oiiotograplis. The paper recalls Hitler’s statement that any country which does not defend its neutrality is not neutral, and recommends greater activity by the Swedish air force.
