• The Minister of Agriculture (Hon. W. Lee Alartin) who is a patient in a private hospital in Wellington, was reported last night to have spent a comfortable day. Mr Lee Alartin went into hospital on Sunday. Mr J. F. Johnston, of Bunnythorpe Road, Ashhurst, who has been on the staff of the Training College, Wellington, for the past five years, has been appointed by the Director of Education to the position of inspector of schools. It was announced at the meeting of the College Street School Committee, last evening, that Air A. H. McLean, headmaster of the Hokowhitu School, lias been appointed headmaster at the College Street School in succession to Mr N. H. Tunniclifie, who is taking up a similar position at the Eoxton District High School.
