PLUNKET SOCIETY.
A bridge evening organised by Mrs J. Carrick. assisted by Mesdames Rentoul and McCorkindale as hostesses, was held in the Plunket Society s room. The lounge was prettily decorated with dahlias in rose and lemon shades. The bridge prizes were won by Mesdames G. Mitchell, S. McDowall and Firth. The function was the first of a series to be held to raise funds for a new set of scales, and donations were received from Mrs T. Collins, Misses Maguire, Painter and Briggs. Those present were: Mesdames McCorkindale, Cantwell, McDowall, Hill, Palmer, Geisen. Thomas, Watt, McLeod, Peniiey Millen, Hostick, Lawrence, Mitchell. Firth, Burne. Anderson and Misses Short all, Entwisle and Darling.
