Exeo’lent conditions favoured the opening of the Makuri tiolf Club at the weekend. In declaring the links open, Mr M. Morison cordially welcomed the visitors. A fla" competition was played, tho winners being Mrs W. P. Nelson in the ladies’ section and Mr J. Moriartv in the men’s. In the novelty drive and approaching cornpet ition Miss M. Raleigh and Mr E. Sinclair won.
