COMPANY ACTIVITIES.

A now patrol has been formed in All Saints’ (Ist Palmerston North) Guide Company, with Monica Clapcott as leader and Annette Holder as second. They have chosen Pantails as their new emblems. Tenderfoot work has been progressing well and several hone to he enrolled at next ceremonial. The Manuka Patrol provided tea for All Saints’ Ranger Company at the last meeting, pea soup being supplied bv Mrs*Hansen and Rita Hansen. The folk dance members gave an hour’s fo'k dancing. It had been hoped to hold a week-end camp, but as this cannot be managed an all-day hike will be substituted. Four more Rangers should be enrolled bv next month as test work is due to be finished bv Wednesday. Garments for the Finnish relief were cut out, the material and natterns having been kindlv brought in bv Mrs G. A. Eliott (District Commissioner). Tim Takaro (6th Palmerston North) Guide Company had a “warming up” programme at f’mir last meeting. Patrol tinm was followed bv group work, when the first-class aspirants learned “Black Nag.” which thev afterwards taueht to the patrols. A lively discussion followed on the programme for parents’ evening, and the patrol seconds were entrusted with the supper. The first-class workers arc to take their test next Saturday. After campfire the recruits who arc hoping to he enrolled on parents’ evening took some test work. Second-class work- is verykeen at present and Helen Northover is nearly through hers.
